Current Classes
Egg Drop Challenge
In the Egg Drop Challenge class, students will design and build protective contraptions to keep an egg from breaking when dropped from various heights. Through hands-on experimentation, they will explore key concepts such as gravity, impact force, and energy absorption. This exciting, hands-on activity fosters creativity while providing a real-world application of physics and engineering principles.
Cost: $25 per person, per class
ESA-approved vendor
The Physics of Energy & Motion
In the Physics of Energy & Motion class, students will build a car powered by the stored energy of a mousetrap. Students will investigate how variables like wheel size, axle length, and material choice affect speed and efficiency. Through trial and error, they will gain a deeper understanding of motion, energy transfer, and mechanical advantage while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Cost: $25 per child, per group

The Physics of Weaponry
In the Physics of Weaponry class, students will build and test three basic projectile-launching devices to explore the relationship between kinetic and potential energy. This hands-on experience provides a fun and engaging way to understand fundamental physics concepts while applying problem-solving and engineering skills.

Bridge Build Challenge
In the Bridge Build class, students will design and construct their own bridges to explore key engineering and physics principles. Through hands-on experimentation, they will learn about force distribution, tension and compression, load-bearing capacity, and structural stability. This interactive class fosters creativity, problem-solving, and an understanding of fundamental engineering concepts.
